if 0 doesnt count then we're not really here since computers only read 1's ' 0's
as you well know

Hmmmm?? Fail ??
Well technically he did not Fail as 0 is not a real number and in quantum physics does not even exist. .. [8D]
(had to whack my glasses on for this reply mate

FAIL! you didnt start at 0

as you well know
(gotta throw the dark shades on for this one again )
You are correct in that we are here ( I hope but, sometime wonder myself )
The question was is it a real actual position as a number goes ...
The written number "0" obviously exists as a kind of tool ..... yes ..
but....
computers only read in 0's and 1's because we happen gave them those 2 particular digits to assemble stuff... we could for all intense and purposes given them any 2 digits to run and build sequences with to assemble stuff ... [8D]
Does this give the zero a special meaning, or does this make the "0" a real number ...?? hmmmmmm [8D]
I would not think so ...
the basis for the reason that "0" is not a real number is because of the " infinite " thingiemybob ...
Because things get smaller and larger INFINITELY in either direction, the position of actual zero is impossible to find.... [:-]
Think of it this way ..
A dot on a piece of paper.... you make it smaller and smaller till you cannot see it , but if you were physically able to make it smaller in physics, you can , forever .. !!!!
and.....
The same occurs for the make it bigger effect ...
Ok I am getting a head ache now
[align=center]- Warning for all the kids at home -
DO NOT TRY TO MAKE DOTS INFINITELY BIGGER OF SMALLER AT HOME
Trying to do this yourself at home WILL cause eye and brain strain
And use a **** load of paper and pens
