They used to recon that it stays with you forever ? and that it cuts 10 years off your life ?
I know that medicine has come along way in the last ten years.... but who knows ??? ....

Do not know why but I have to do bloodborne pathogen training every year and from what the instructors say Hep C is both preventable and treatable. If you have already had the 3 course immunization within the past 5 years then you have "no" chance of catching it. Dunno if I'd roll around in infected blood knowing this but supposedlyyou could. If your immunization was over 5 years ago then the protection rate is not 100% and decreases a bit the longer it was. Shoulda paid more attention in class but it was BORING!
Oh, curing it ... I personally knew of 2 peeps that had hep c. One died from it the other was cured. Differencewas the guy who died did not take care of himself properly. Would start to feel better then start drinking and getting off meds. Drinking with Hep is just stupid. Other person, a chick, stayed on the meds like a trooper ... plenty of rest and proper nutrition. Declared cured a little over a year and a half of being diagnosed.
