I use the key.

 

i use the kill switch, often i will put it in neutral and then 'kill it' while i am still rolling. ie. right before i get to into a parking spot or into my garage. i have not had another bike so i dont know, but my bike wont let me take the key out until the handlebars are turned all the way left. so if i am going to stop like this i have to use the kill switch. when i park in my garage, i just leave the keys in the ignition(in the off position of course)

 

Ive never thought about using the kickstand .....

 

i always use the key.

 

I only use the kill switch! Just seems the proper way of turning it off.

 

I used the kill switch once on my old bike and left the key on for about an hour and a half with the headlight on, but it still had enought juice to start. Since then I always use the key or if parking someplace it might roll I use the kickstand to make sure its in gear.

I guess I'm just not as much a creature of habit as everyone else. I don't always do it one way or the other. Sometimes it's the key, sometimes the kill switch.

 

+1 on the kickstand if i forget, and the kill switch always goes as I get off the bike just for good measure

 

I do what the 2004 600RR owner's manual says; I use the key!

 

Either the key or if it might roll just leave it in gear and drop the kickstand down!
