I want to put my other computer back to how I bought it. How do I do that. BTW, I dont have any disks. I just want it to be like how it was when I got it from the store. THanks

 

did you try a system restore to the date of purchase?

 

How do I do that. I dont have internet connection on it, but I went to control panel, then system, then restore, but there was nothing there to click.

 

Start > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Try setting it back a week or so to see if it fixes your problem. Or you can restore to the earliest date possible. Is this because of the images not animating or is there another issue?

 

Other issue. I am selling it and want all my crap off there. I still dont know why the animation isnt working. Could you think of anything else?

 

If you cant do a rollback, then you have some serious issues I have a feeling. Best bet, get all your stuff off of there, and then do a fully system format (I have more info on that) which will completely erase your hard drive, which will allow you to put a brand new spankin copy of windows on there. It will resolve your issue

where did you buy the computer at? i know you said you dont have any disks, but for factory systems that is the best thing, since those disks will restore to the point in which you purchased it, drivers and all.

 

the 2 HP`s i have a drive D and when you boot to it it reinstalles xp on drive C. is it a HP???

 

thats not something standard, because I have several HPs here at work and i dont see a restore partition. it is a possibility though, Dells come with a utility partition for diagnostics.
