dayum man, that sucks. from now on when i go to clean the chain, im getting out my chain-male glove ( just like a shark suit material) i used to use when i was a chef. that glove saved my digits a ton of times when i was rushing.

 

wow sorry to hear that. Will only clean brakes with brakeclean, then clean off the rims later (assuming no one has lost a limb cleaning rims).

Well there is some good news, for some reason people who have had thier fingers cut off above the first knuckle tend to regrow them. Not in all cases but in a large number of them. Scientists are trying to figure why this accurs as it may relate to regenerating other tissues. I can vouch for this myself, about 8 years ago I cut my thumb off just below my fingernail on a sheet metal bracket. Took about 2 years but now you would never know anything happened to my thumb it completely grew back. It's a weird deal but hey I'm happy I have a full thumb again

 

Damn! this is starting to become an epidemic!
