Who makes good ones? I know there are ratings and whatnot to consider, but not sure what is important, any experts out there?

I live in Florida if that matters.

 

hey Fryer, i've worked for an HVAC Co. for 5 years now....sadly im not gonna be much help. all i do is make the sheetmetal that goes into the houses. but, we deal w/ American Standard units. they seem very reliable.

Call your local professional. I have never had problems with the Trane unit.
