Default HOLY ****! A letter from the IRS

So I go get the mail and there's a thick envelope from the IRS. I'm thinking "Oh great, they want to audit me". I open it up and wade thru page after page after page after page after check after page after... wait... WTF?!? Check?!?

Apparently they, the IRS, made a mistake in my taxes this year and owed me an additional $100 + change. The 10+ pages were the standard "How we calculated your taxes", "How to dispute our findings" & "How to make the bent over position you normally assume on April 15th more comfortable". And a 1 page, 1 paragraph cover letter that boils down to "Oops... My bad dude"

Surprised they didn't find a way to just reclaim that 100 bucks as there own. I'm always confused when I owe the state 15 bucks or something stupid like that. How the hell can I owe you when you control what get's taken outta my checks. Only happened once but it seemed so stupid.
