I don't know how many of you are coders out there, but this week wraps up eight months of major development for me. I have been working on a MySQL PHP module for just about eight months solid. Close to 20,000 lines of code later I am finally in alpha testing. If any of you have ever taken on a monstrous project, you should know what a relief it is to be oh so close to being done. I feel.....well, almost giddy!

 

sweet...i know how that feels....not that big a project but some pretty big ones....what are you coding??? php and mysql ehhh....best programming tag team on the net in my opinion...

lol, I am not a programmer for this board.

I have been developing a Garage CMS for another forum software, SMF. It allows users to add a vehicle and add any type of relevant data, images, mods, quartermiles, dynoruns, laptimes, and premiums.

 

oh i know you're not a programmer for THIS site....but thought as a mod...you might lean a little on the powers that be to install a simple chat script with this board...

I did that once way back in '98 when I first got started with html etc. I wanted chat rooms for my site but didn't want to create it from scratch so I ... hijacked codes from and linked to some XXXchat site.

It worked like a charm. Folks can create chat rooms from my site but what they are really doing is creating chat rooms inside the XXX site to chat in and when they exit ... poof right back on my site.

Didn't last very long. Don't know if the XXX site caught on first or whether I got bored and closed down the site. After it wasn't awww mysite com and all. It was just something like earthlink.net\~myname.
