Glad to see you waited and got the d40x(10mp)...although the d40 isn't anything to frown upon either...
Most of your images are "soft"...or blurry as most would say...One thing that alot of people that are just getting into DSLR's don't realize is it's you need to play with alot of the adjustments( aperture, shutter speed, focal length, ISO, white balance, so on and so forth) i order to get a "good shot"... P&S cameras actually "process" the images within the camera itself, so what you see on the computer screen from a P&S is an image that has already been color and contrased balanced as well as sharpened. DSLR cameras require quite a bit of this afterward which is Post Processing(PP). Much is done in a PhotoShop program of some version.
I say practice and trial and trial again will improve your skills as a photographer. Nice bike!

Thanks guys for the kind words. I purchase my rear cowl from the dealership the bike was bought at.Thecowl ismeant to replace the rear passenger seat for comestic reasonings. Not strong enough to hold a second rider.

It's been a damn blizzard out here in Oregon....I have a foot of snow in my driveway as we speak GGRRRRRRRRR [:@]Bike aint going anywhere
