Question HID's

I see HID threads all over the place in regards to installs and what not on bikes but does anyone run them on their cars? I was looking into getting some but every website I find looks real shady and never checks out well with the Better Business Bureau. Also I've read to never buy anything like this off of Ebay.

Just wondering where you guys have ordered yours from. I want to get 8k's for both the low beam and the fog lights.

If you're going to upgrade to HIDs and your headlights weren't meant for them, please considering paying the few extra bucks to get a good projector conversion kit done. I have a '01 subaru impreza and installed a plug n' play H4 bulb HID kit from K-Light, I think that was the name of the brand. Anyways, the bulbs worked great and the ballasts supplied great power, but the light was flooded and there was so much refraction that it ended up not doing much good. When it was dark and wet out, I might as well have just gone for non-HID super-whites. Also, you should consider that an HID setup in a non-projector housing will blind the people in front of you, it's like having your hi-beams on all the time.

The K-Light kit I got offered dual-bulb/dual-beam ability, but it was no real difference, both ended up just flooding everywhere and looking like ****.

I forgot his name, but he's located in NJ, frequents auto-x events and has done a ton of conversions for a lot of subaru guys I know so he's pretty reliable and if he messes up you can chase him down. I met him a couple times and he's a pretty cool dude down to answer whatever questions you might have.

I put HID projectors in my G5 and then put HID in them from DDMTuning. Have not had a single misfire or any issues of any sorts.
