Default Helmet Paint

HEy all. I think I am going to customize my helmet. I was wondering what kind of primer paint and clear I should use? Should it all be Vehicle paint or is there a certain type of paint to look for?? Thanks

Well I use vehicle paint whenever I spray a airbrush a helmet. But before you do anything I would check out the helmet laws. Here in Canada if you customize them they are sometimes no onger considered legal. Just something to check into before you spend the cash!

Thanks for the reply..Nothing illegal here about changing helmet graphics.. Plus I don't plan on making anything to crazy where it's like the visor is painted or anything...

I would really double check it. You have to sand down the clear coat on the helmet to change out the graphics. Check the manufacturers warranty as well. I would really hate to see you waste your time. I know a few years back I was spraying quite a few helmets and now they are very few (unless for the sledheads). If you do decide to go ahead with it post some pictures. Good Luck!!

I'm not worried bout the warranty as im pretty sure there is no warranty on it... I am not really sure what my idea is going to be. I am talking to my little sister and she is going to help come up with a design. she is very creative..
