For those wondering about fishing gear you can buy a telescopic rod for 20 bucks. They collapse to about a foot and no restringing required, they easily fit into a backpack.

For the catch you could consider cleaning them on the spot. Dunno about you guys but I can whip 15 fish in less than 30 minutes. The fillets easily fit into a lunch cooler on ice.

Well,
I did it twice now! I went fishing on the bike at the beach! it was actualy pretty easy. you just need saddle bags.. i folded the rod in half and let it stick up out of the bag. put a towel and a small tackle box in there.. on the other side i put one of those little lunch box cooler things and thats where the fish goes when i catch them

I might pick up golfing again, if I could haul my clubs on my bike.

I do it all the time with my Strat. They sit there even while over taking semi's at 85 mph.

Every year I do the 800 mile round trip from Edinburgh to Cambridge with this lot strapped to the CBR. Can still hit speeds just fine, but really unsettles when passing a big truck, plus the drag on it meant I had to reinforce the brackets holding on the box as they were starting to crack the plastic!
