Anyone done repairs like this who could give me some advice? I might have to geta sharkskinz race upper and put in some aftermarket halogen lights. Should I just take it to the dealer to get it checked out, or might there be some better option? I might even streetfighter it out.God, this really sucks, especially since I just got it fixed up and painted about a month and a half ago... Sitting here at work I keepthinkingaboutwhat my bike looks like now sitting in my garage; just sad.

I might be jumping the gun about the repairs and all...I have no idea if it's going tobe road worth again...Really hope it will be, though.

Glad you're here to post this, you'll be a little wiser and probably a lot better when you get back out there.

Bike seems mechanically sound. Just needed to re-connect the fuel supply line and it fired right up. Took it around the block a few minutes ago, and didn't notice any difference at all. It looks like ****, though, but I'm pretty sure all that I need is the front upper fairing(s), lower fairing brackets, and front pillar/subframe assembly (not sure exactly what this is called). Also, I need to get a hold of the front fuel tank rubber grommet (mount). The lower fairings are damaged, but repairable. I'm just going to paint it flat black when I get it fixed up. Fuggit. Pretty sure I'm going to buy the sharkskinz upper race fairing, unless someone on the forum has the 3 stock pieces for a good price. If I get the race fairing, I have to decide how to do the headlight(s). I was thinking of multiple halogens, but am unsure about the pattern and how to align them properly...Ideas?

I've been looking for parts on ebay. Here's that thread:

https://cbrforum.com/m_374321/tm.htm

Damn, I'm surprised how much the upper stay costs! A guy at a local mc salvage yard quoted me at $210 for a new one! ****! Hopefully the one on ebay is under $100... If these prices keep up, I might have to part it out and find another cbr. If it costs $500-$600for the parts (like it's looking), it's just not worth it! And after that, I still have to do the body work on the lowers and repaint!

F%CK! F%CK! F%CK!

I went through the same thing: the parts added up quick so I just got rid of it.
