I would put a friends quieter pipe on my bike and take a video to court or something. haha as far as the plate i dunno. It depends on the judge.

here isn cali there is a legal limit to how loud your motorvehicle can be , i believe it is 82db. a police officer has the right to ticket you if he feels in his opinion that your db output is over the legal limit. no meter is used (mostly due to the fact that then they would have to pay for training in how to use it, calibration costs and also the db level would be effected differently based on the surroundings in which the test was performed) so its up to the officers judgement.

That's how I understand it to be in Florida, though I have yet to see it enforced.. and I've seen some straight pipes ride by cops at 8-9k. Sounds like the cop was gunnin for ya. Good luck fighting it!

No surprise to me at all on either. On the tag if you think about it, if you were an officer, would you wanna **** your head side ways to try and read a tag just because someone thought it looked cool?? (I dont btw, I think it looks tarded!! ). You only chance is to fix said problems and pray the judge will dismiss em.

I actually dont think any of the exhaust sold are actually street legal in any state. Hence the for off-road use only labels on em when we buy em

And I have yet to see a 'GP' exhaust sound for any of our bikes regardless of brand lol. Short stubby cans maybe, but not 'GP'

Only if you also didn't know you have to kill all the witnesses, dispose of the bodies and destroy all evidence

Cut off their heads and put them in the freezer ... round side down ...

Everything and anything is illegal if the cop says so. The thing to remember is to be respectful, sign the citation and get a lawyer (or see the ADA).

Sucks sorry to hear that man. Something about state troopers if you get pulled over your getting a ticket.

Found a good guide of dealing with the policy from a law professor.
