Well, I started a thread few months back about purchasing a new go pro 2 then having a problem viewing it on my PC...Sony Viaos....

Guess what, I took th same memory card and stick into a MacBook...man...play smooth like butter...guess it's compatible? It just works well together and I can edit easy...took me half the time to load...I heard some of us even load to view thru YouTube...

Thought I'll share this finding...
