Default GOOD GRIEF!!! (rant)

Dealerships should be registered sex offenders for raping people on prices.
When i first asked them they said they didnt even wanna work on it cause its old. NO **** its old but you dont just tell someone we dont wanna do it. So someone overhears them telling me that and he tells them to give me a price. He hits a few things on the computer and comes up with 195.XX plus tax. I said no thank you and left.

200+ to sync my carbs with me bringing it to them without the tank on it. Your out of your mind!
Ill pay 100 for the tool and use it forever!

Sounds bout right. Guy at the Honda dealership wanted $250 just to look at the carbs in my bike. No repair or nada. $250 to tell me what was wrong and then they'd discuss cost for repairs / parts.

I agree dealerships are crazy. After finding out that most dealers wont even work on a bike thats over 10 years old, a friend refered me to a private shop thats been in business for a long time. called them up and they quoted me 280, for a valve ajustment and check the carbs sync, and jetting for tuning. i thought that was reasonable but i dont have much of a comparison either.

long story short: check out some of the local privateers...

ive seen worse...$200 isnt that bad if job is done right. But if you sense an attitude about your bike being old, then i wood not force anybody to work on my bike.find another shop, or pick up the tools.
