RIP Steve, thats a sad thing he was a pretty neat guy. His wife grew up just about an hour from where I currently live. Sad to hear he has passed.

Very tragic. I must admit to getting a little bit of a lump in my throat. He died in the thick of what he loved to do, though. His wife was from Eugene, Oregon which is two hours north from where I live.

Yeah, it's too bad he was killed, but he's one of the lucky ones--he died doing what he loved. Rest easy, mate....

I must say off all the forums I have been to this one has more respect of the news than any of them.... I thought the man was a wonderful human being and should be remembered as such. so I bid my condolences to his family and hope they remember he was loved and respected by millions of people.

R.I.P Steve Erwin..

The world has lost a great person. It's sad, I really enjoyed his shows and his enthusiasm for life. A real colorful personality to be sure! You'll be missed Steve.
I hope when I go it's doing what I love as well. I was talking to my father-in-law last night about death and he said when he goes he wants to be buried with his CR500. Doing what you love makes everything worthwhile.
