Hell no I am not gelling. Sometimes that **** does not work. I bought a pair of decent hiking boots to wear around the range. Those worked for the first couple of weeks and then went to crap. I know Converse and Oakley make some military style boots I may look at. Thank you all for the input. Greatly appreciated.

I wear my Spidi Vertigo Corsa boots all day whenever I'm at the track and foot comfort has never really been an issue
I can't say that I feel like I'm gonna melt when I wear them or anything, its more like I don't even notice they are race boots, which is pretty cool

now obviously $400 race boots are overkill for teaching an MSF course but thats all the info i got lol

Hmmmm, I may have to look into some new Sidi boots if the Vert's are THAT good. Just don't go with the Doha's. They are hurtful towards feet.

Just use some Mil spec jump boots, (Air Force spec Magnum HiTec's are among the best, and affordable. The Oakley Spec Ops are THE BEST, but they cost an arm, a leg, a nut, and your firstborn son) and add some sort of insert, they feel like wearing sneakers, but they give great protection and support.
