from my experience, girls have ALWAYS been this way. perhaps not all violent, but how many women do you know ever have a pleasant day at work, school, whatever, when there are large groups of other women involved.

my high school wasn't especially violent for the area, but guys fought sometimes, and it would stop at that. girls would jump each other, stab, cut, shoot, anything. i think the trend in violence may have something to do with the "thug" bull**** that is so popular nowadays. i cant even number how many suburban, or rural areas i've been in where the kids my age or younger, girls or guys were (trying) to speak and dress like they were from an urban ghetto (though it must be quite hard when you've never actually known someone from one)

and lastly yes that is what "we kids" learn in school i saw more fights in high school than anywhere else
