Damn-she has the bike I want. Oh well I don't want the payment and I can't pay cash for it till my truck sells. Glad she got the bike she wanted and you guys can have fun together.

Congrat's SR, it'll be uncomfortable for a little bit, but it's going to get much better. When your done w/ a ride you will be able to talk about what you saw.
Ya I hope so. Find myself being a nervous wreck half the time we go out....more so when we're hittin the twisties our regular group. She had a close call and ran close enough to the outside of the turn that she kicked up some grass/dirt but still managed to save it.... Asked if she was ok and told he she did good not to hit the brakes in that turn. Common mistake from new riders who get into an unexpected corner.

my g/f took the msf class this past september. she had ZERO experience and had only been passanger on my bike. she knew the basics of how the controls worked and what not. after the msf class, she began practicing in a WIDE OPEN parking lot (she has a silver/black '01 F4i). i took some masking tape and some bubble wrap (not the kind you find in packages) and taped it to the points of the bike that would touch if she were to drop it. before this, she had installed her frame sliders HERSELF while i looked over her shoulder. after she got the friction point down packed, i made her follow me through all the side roads off of my road (probably 8 or so all offering different obsticles). i told her i wouldnt want her out on a main road until she could follow me through each side road and take them all FLAWLESSLY. after a good hard weekend of riding i felt she was ready.

i wouldnt really recommend just leaving her behind on twisties and waiting for her. its best to make sure she knows how to take the turns. you can do this by having her follow you through a very twisty road and tell her to try to stay in the same gear as you and to follow your line. dont just turn her loose down windy side roads yet. she may not know how to correctly judge the turns and how to REALLY scan the road ahead for debris that could end her ride early.

not preaching, but i went through the same, lol....and i STILL get extremely nervous and on edge when riding w/ her. idk if that feeling will ever go away.

+1 This is how i was taught to ride (by my older brother) and its how i taught my wife to ride. Its a very safe way of teaching someone how to ride correctly(given you yourself know how to ride properly) because you set the pace and only up the speed when you feel they are ready.

I just did. The new girl i'm talking to loves my bike and can't wait till spring to go out on it. I'm not big on 2 up riding so I hope she don't get to into it if her and I work out LOL! I like to ride solo alot.

Thats what we did. All the guys went out front and she followed closely behind me setting the pace until she learned the road and the couple rough spots that are in it. After she could tell me where to two really cautious areas were I ran ahead and let her run her pace meeting her at the stop sign.

Wasnt really sure if Id prefer her ridin wit me or on her own bike, but havin a girl who rides next to you rather than behind you is pretty sweet.

Watch out for when you start riding together. I've found myself staring at my wife's backside and not paying attention to the road.

This sucks! I need to find me a girl who rides her own bike or WANTS to get her own bike and WILL get one. Riding 2 up kind of gets annoying. I mean sure it was really cool at first to have a hot chick on the back but now that I'm beyond the squid hey look at me stage I'm thinking chick get off and get your own. haha Plus those pictures were really hot of the girl on the bike by herself and her working on the bike. I just thought of an idea! I think I'll make my own website kind of like eharmony.com but you have to ride in order to subscribe!

I bought my F4i partially because of the banana seat (so I could ride two up). Then, she wanted her own bike. We got a screamin' deal on an Ex-250 so she rides, too. I don't take her with me all the time, but it is an awesome deal to be able to ride with your girlfriend/wifey!!! I still have to get her in the MSF, though...[&:].
