yea you dont want a wrecked bike, especially one thats prone to random front end "collapses" while driving to the gas station. i wouldnt be upset, i would be happy i didnt buy it. at least it didnt happen to you, and now youve got this wrecked bike you spent allyour money on.

is there something about this bike youre not saying? like mentioned before an 08 1krr for 4500 is too cheap, then the "front end collapse"?

THe bike was in a low speed lay down at the end of last season, has been parked since then . visible damage was broken mirror and windscreen, side fairing was knocked loose and is scratched the tail section. I looked the bike over myself a couple weeks ago when my friend mentioned he wanted to sell it. Not due to the damage I might add but due to the fact when he wrecked he wasnt as lucky as the bike. broke some ribs and his collar bone, the doctor when in to put a plate on his collar bone to reconnect and severed his nerve bank so he has no control over his bicep muscles in his right arm therefore he wont be able to ride normal again. He was selling this particular bike and his race prepped bike to pay for a stem cell research study to see if they could regrow his nerve cells and regain some movement. I know 110% he wasnt trying to unload a defunked bike on me so thats not even a question in my mind. I know the story of this last mishap is weird to say the least, and maybe he couldnt pilot the bike properly the other day , lost control and hit something causing the front end to do what it did and just had to much pride to admit it was the fact he shouldnt be riding in his condition. He was the fastest on two wheels ive ever met in person, watching him ride was like watching some of the pros in AMA , flawless like a surgeon type of skill.
But anyway enough of the long stories, I was just curious if it would be worth rebuilding or even parting out to double my money so to speak.....thanks for all your input and advice ....

Wow man that's too bad. My thoughts and prayers to your friend and hopes that he'll be able to ride again eventually.

I've already mentioned what I think of the investment but if I were you and I had the extra funds I would buy that bike from him, part it out for what I could and make my money back and then I would put any profits towards my buddies medical expenses...
