Garage Help ??

Haven't done it myself yet, but have watched several programs on how to do it (My wife loves the home improvement network, and all of those interior decorating programs)
apparently the harderst part is the prep work.
you have tofill out any cracks and imperfections before begining , and make sure the floor is perfectly clean and dry
after that the epoxy goes on like any other paint, with a roller, and you apply several coats adding the chips before the last coat cures.
to be able to walk on the surface (to apply the chips and more coats of resin) You'd wear some sort of metal spiked cleats to minimize the contact area where you're stepping on.
once all your coats are done it needs to cure for about 24 hours before putting the weight of a car on the finish, and then youre good to go.

No. You do a square at a time. Let it dry some. Put another coat on (repeat for how many coats you want), then throw sprinkles. Start another square. Repeat.
Dont worry about the floor being super clean. I pulled up the old nasty stick down tiles and used moratic acid to clean up the old glue. The concrete was nasty from years of ****. I cleaned it the best I could. Rinsed the muratic down the floor drain and let dry. Applied it and its still there. I did this a couple years ago.
I've used the stuff from Home Depot in my garage. It cost $105 for a single garage just for the epoxy.I have a 2 1/2 size garage and two kits did with a little left over. You can choose between 21 colors I believe. I did the sprinkle thingies and wish I didn't it looks stupid really.
The prep work more important then the painting part. make sure you get the cleaner in liquid form (the kit comes with powder but just isn't as good and the etcher (this opens up the concrete to except the paint better. After it dries you roll on the epoxy paint and if you are good at not leaving lines it goes on smooth.
Your old man will dig it when its finished.

Thats what muratic acid does too. It eats the concrete and what ever else is on it. If you use it make sure to dilute it with water. I was in the bathroom full strength. LOL I didnt know.
Then just hose it off.
Thanks for all your help guys! After I get the goods, and he/we get it done, which could be a while from now, I'll make sure to update you guys with pictures and cost, for those of you who haven't done it yet, and are considering it.
Thanks Again!
