Default GA Drought (Pics)

depressing .. in 20 years of living in the area never seen lakes so low .. even the total outdoor water ban (including businesses now) and even the rain yesterday haven't seemed to put a dent in the shortage. Anyway, just a few pics from today of one of the nearby bigger lakes.

(click any pic for larger view)

The first pic is from an angle whereby I'd normally be standing near the middle under 20 feet of water:

The water level under normal conditions is not far below this sign:

Everywhere you see dirt in below pics is normally under water:

All the boats had to be dry docked months ago

Yep some of the local farmeer's crops might already be ruined for next year, and they might start rationing the water soon.

Not good at all.

Yea it's pretty bad.... I dunno what's gonna happen in the coming months if we don't get some good rain soon! The well at my house is going dry already[&:] The pics of the [used to be] lakes really makes me cringe.... kinda drives home how bad it really is

So, is the local government doing anything other than trying to manage the use of water? Is there any aid on the horizon. It would be nice if our government was pro-active rather than re-active! Start storing drinking water in your basement all you Georgians...there seems to be alot of you on this forum...Kewl, Geni, etc...

Hell. They're dumb for not already doing it. Our drinking lake dropped 20ft and they started rationing.
