Default Frame Sliders And Spools VS. Crash Cage

What is the best way to protect your plastics? frame sliders or a crash cage. Have not dropped my bike yet but i only have frame sliders and to me a crash cage seems like it would do more.

Umm if you're planning on stunting it, yes get a cage, however if you're just a normal rider who wants protection if you go down, just get frame sliders. Most likely your fairings are going to get messed up slightly if you go down with sliders on anyhow, just not as bad as without.

if ya stunt a cage. Regular riding, twisting etc, sliders. At any real speed if ya bike goes down with a cage, the cage will dig into the pavement n cause it to spin, bounce, tumble, and or flip. With sliders, it will just slide in most cases. And any crash with any real speed there is gonna be some damage. For low speed, stunts tho, a cage will be better than sliders. To me tho cages are fugly.

Frame sliders are not designed to protect your plastics, they do to a point, but they are mounted on your motor mout to protect "gasp" your Frame.. thus the name frame sliders. They are made so if you crash at high speeds they slide on that and not your frame effectivly totaling out your motorcycle when insurance sees the big smashed frame.

just fyi

so in answer to your question the cage obviously will protect everything better, thats why it's a huge cage
