RE: Foxy trashed it...........
Feeling sore yet? you never did mention exactly what your body did during the accident (just curious). i know you said you were sorta thrown from the bike, any other details?
i have statefarm and i plan on looking into my gear being covered. i thought you had to request other things to be covered and it would cost more per month.

RE: Foxy trashed it...........
^^ They said that I should go and buy a new helmet, and claim it as a reimbursement. They told me to hold onto the jacket and gloves and claim it as well. (but they couldn't make any promises other than the helmet)
As for what my body did during the crash........
I locked up my front brakes right before impact, and the bike actually hit the ground and slid for about 6 feet RIGHT before it hit the car. Once I knew I couldn't stop in time, I leaned over (with the brakes still on I imagine), and dumped the bike. When the bike hit, the tail snapped back and actually thew me off of it, JUST missing the front bumper. I few a good 10 feet, then slid for another 30 feet or so. In the first picture, you can see that turn lane to the left, I ended up right between where that first turn arrow is marked on the ground and where it says only. I just remember stopping, getting instant pissed off rage, walking back to my bike and cursing every word in the book.
My jeans had a few rips, and my knee has a few scrapes, but honestly, I've had worse injuries riding my bicycle as a little kid that what I ended up with. My right shoulder is a little sore, and so is my left leg, but other than that, I was in worse shape when I crashed the first time.
I will honestly say, insurance companies suck. I've spoken to at least 6 different people at a "call center" handling my case. I was extremely pissed off until I spoke to a woman named Michelle who actually knows WTF she is talking about, and gave me straight answers instead of "Well, "IF" it's covered, maybe" responses.
My bike is now at the dealer (the one I HATE).......and who knows how long they'll take writing up the estimate. I found out that State Farm doesn't do estimates on motorcycles. They told me "they don't have the capacity or expertise" to do that, so they just take the dealers word for it. So I told the dealer to make absolutely certain that EVERY little scratched part is REPLACED with OEM Honda Parts. I did my own little estimate and already came up with $4500 damage........just by looking at the damage from the pics, not including labor. So hopefully, the dealer will make it a total loss, and I'll buy my bike back and buy an 08 or an 07, depending on what deals I can get. Then make my 06 into a track bike.
I would love to have my own bike back, but I HATE having "repaired" vehicles from a serious crash. They just never feel the same afterwards, and you loose your passion for it. I've had a car replaced after an accident, and I hated driving it because it angered me knowing that it still wasn't right. I just hope the same doesn't happen to my bike.

Didnt you just do the front blinkers!!!
Man that sucks donkey *****. Glad you're ok.
See how much it'll cost to buy her back from the insurance company (although I find it complete bs that you have to buy your wheels back when its yours [:@] ) and part her out. Some good money there.
