I finally got my bike out of the shop! It's not perfect by any means (as in, when putting the fairings back on we discovered that the front stays are so bent the fairings wont fit.) But I said to heck with it - rip the fairings off, lets zip tie some stuff down and get on the road. I'll deal with the rest of it later. This was all on monday afternoon... Ride was a blast, took a little while to get my seat back and to stop imagining I was falling off everytime I took a turn or curve but it was soooooo much fun. I stayed out past dark and on Monday it was 25 degrees here. After dark it was TOO cold to be out riding.



I forgot how many people will stop and stare at a pretty bike going down the road :-) Even if my streetfighter isn't all that pretty right now!!!!

I know the nerve feeling, I had the same for a long time after watching my friend lowside in front of me. i had the image burned into my head through every turn

 

Glad to see your back out ridin again. Sounds like you had a good time out there. Myself, I wouldnt be ridin at 25 degrees but hey I understand its been a while for ya. Keep it a streetfighter.

I know the feeling, I had the bike down for about 8 months due to mechanical failure and insufficient funds to rectify it. As soon as I got it back on, I was hitting the twistys! Feels good to be back on the road eh?
