ROCK ON BROTHER! I tried last year with Chantix, and I was smoke free for three months but then I started again like an *******.
You smoked? I didn't even notice.

Yeah I have heard the first 3 days or so is the worst. I have kind of cheated I had a dip this morning but only left it in long enough for the urge to go away.

THATS AWESOME!!!!!Dont stop now!!!After the 3rd day your cravings will minimize!
I quit smoking because I got a tooth pulled...doc said no smokes or I would get "dry socket".I didnt have health insurance at the time and it cost me about $800 to get the tooth removed.I didnt have money to go back if something would have happened. That was 5 years ago.I quit cold turkey...got ride of cravings with jolly ranchers and bubblegum. You can do it!!!
Here is more incentive...the quit smoking calculator...look at how much you will save!!!

Worst is if yer friends smoke. It is extremely hard not to want a puff when you can see it. I just stop going outside at their houses and stuff so that I am not in the immediate vicinity.

Power to you for quiting.

My wife smokes so I can't get away from it. I am still feeling good though. I didn't realize how bad cigs stinked.

F4...great job! I was a pack a day guy for a period of time. I started smoking at 15 and quit at 25. I tried to quit many times by dipping, and I just replaced one with the other (I still dip a few times a week). Just do your best. You have to make it a habit, and that takes about 30 days. Try to stay away from things that make you want to smoke, like: eating, driving, waking up in the morning, and having sex. Simple, right ? Again, hats off to you. It is going to be hard, especially if your partner is still smoking. You can't make her quit just because you want to, even though it would help you. Try to talk her into it because it will help. Like somebody else said, let us know if you start again so we can kick your *** and call you a loser!
