Default Finally kicking the habit

I finally got enough will power and the urge up to quit smoking. I have only been smoke free for a day now but I am already starting to feel better. I am saving money, my lungs and no longer am I the annoying one to group ride with who is always stopping for a smoke.

i quit smoking when i had to watch a friend die of cancer. it was deff. a smart decision. i still occasionally smoke cigars tho.

good luck with the cold turkey quit man!! a lil trick that helped me, a week before i actually stopped i wouldnt inhale the cigarete smoke, just smoked them like cigars, way less nicotine enters your system but still just enough to not go crazy

In the middle of a quit also, 2nd attempt in the last 4 months, first time made it like 3 weeks and then gave up and now im on like week 2 with only one in that time period.

Quit a couple years ago too, made it over three years and then started again in the last year. It's a nasty little habit.

Good Luck

I've never smoked before. I'm a good kid

I applaud you. Smoking is nasty and definitely a bad habit. Great job, mang.

Yeah good on you, although my attitude is that eventually you got to die from something, may as well be something you enjoy. I have given up a few times, but I'm a weak bastard, & always go back to the "durries". Like I've said before, a doctor once told me that giving up smoking was easy, he did it all the time.

o and i agree about the death outlook, however death from cancer is one of that last ways i want to die
