Default Finally!!!

Its been quite awhile since i had any good news to report, but alas!

I took my turnout test 2 weeks ago. for those that dont know, its a cumulative test called the Star Exam over the last five years of my training in the union. Its a 200 question test that decides whether i can become a journeyman or not.

when i took the test, i was fairly confident that i passed(at least a 75%), but i wasnt sure if i got the star certification(82+%, pretty much useless except for bragging rights)

Well i called down to the apprenticeship office to get my score yesterday and i got a 93%. When she told me i just about dropped my gatorade at lunchtime... I even asked her if she had the right name, she laughed and said she was sure. lol.

I missed having the top score by .5%(one question). but i am definitely very happy to have gotten what i did.

Now i have one more semester to complete and wait for all my hours to catch up and qualify to turn out. WOO HOO!!

On a side note, i cant be the only union hand on the site. Im a member of Phoenix Steamfitters and Plumbers Local 469. Im about to turn out and my dad just put on his 15 year pin. Any other union brothers/sisters out there? Family members maybe?

(not trying to start a debate on pros v. cons of union versus not, just curious.)

Well, I'm not a union guy, but Congratulations! Becoming more qualified is always a really good thing.

Congrats! I just renewed my ASE Certs and I know how satisfying it is to get the results back.
