Final settlement for F2
I'll be brief, unlike at my other fave forum.
State Farm: Totaled my bike for $3,407.00.
They let me buy it back for $450.00
Leaving me with a hair more than the 2800 some odd dollars I presented in the professional estimate I had sent them.
So,I get my bike fixed and get to keep it.
And they just raise the rates on the people whose son hit my bike in the first place.
Just as it should be.
Now, I'm happy and you guys are probably tired of hearing me bi*tch about it.
I also learned a bit of first hand experience in the let's make a claim game.
So, it's all good.
CEEEE-Ya!!!
They may even get my insurance business next year.
Treat people right, and they treat you right, and then you treat....etc. etc.

RE: Final settlement for F2
Thank you for the suppport, some of which surprises but is very very welcome.
Yeah, for the first time in over a month I am at ease a little.
What I am goig to do though.in about 3-4 months, is teach my son, he's..well older than 18...put it that way.
Anyhoo, he's always wanted a sport bike since about 12 years old, and I told him that I would get him one that he would have to follow me, and let me teach him some things.
Like...15-20+ years of street experience.
And that also, he would take an MSF course, and he would be AGATT.
He's ridden once or twice only.
I would have bought him one before now.
But in the few years he has been on the road, hes wrecked, had a fender bender at least 12 times I am guessing.
There is just no way I am going to send him out on the F2, and for him to keep eventually, without me KNOWING for a fact
that he won't end up on You Tube as an accident victim.
I'd never live with that. No friggin way.
