Default favorite diner or dive

In the theme of food networks Diners, drive-ins and Dives, what is your favorite local place? Not really interested in the chains, just the mom and pops places.

Well, the guys and I recently started hanging out at the local sonic for lunch or something, cant wait until its warm enought to take the bikes up there. My favorite mom and pop place is a little hole in the wall place called Dees.

A place called H and H grill on montgomery road in norwood/ cincinnati ohio. They make the best, greasiest, biggest breakfast sandwiches youll ever see. I always get bacon egg and cheese with lettuce tomato and mayo on toast. Its soooo good. I think it cost like $3.

Then theres all of the famous Cincinnati restraunts, Skyline Chili , LaRosas, Steak n Shake and I cant think of the others

I'm from Pittsburgh, PA... but my company does a lot of business with the Navy in Mississippi.

If you're ever down there by the gulf coast, check out a place called THE SHED BBQ. It was/has been featured on Guy Fieri's show... definitely has some good BBQ. The place, looks like a dump (but that is actually a part of its uniqueness). The Shed is at the Vancleave exit (57) on I-10.

Have 4 favourite places, ones a little Italian restaurant, family run. You have to ring to make sure their opened, because they often have the unexpected day off. Very friendly, good food (almost great), but the way they treat you when your there is worth going back.
2 pubs close by have a bistro style menu, foods good, beer & wine at pub prices. 4th is a bowl'o (bowling club) They have even cheaper beer & wine, a good Jazz band & well within staggering distance, but they have just started a new chief in their cafe & she does the best meatballs, mmmm, heaven on a stick.
