Fairing Clock
Well, I decided to keep my right side fairing after I vaporized the rest of the bike. Some how or another this is the only surviving piece left fairly untouched. Only a small mark on the 'A' in 'HONDA' at the bottom. Kind of cool because part of the upper came off with it and left the air duct attached. I added the screen mesh on the fairing openings and the air duct opening too. Then put black poster board on the back so you won't see the wall behind it. Ijust drilled the hole for the clock and cut away the foam on the inside of the fairing to mount it. I had everything at home already, including the clock motor and hands. I could have sold this, but would rather have one piece of it left and to also serve as a reminder. In the garage it goes to proudly hang
Oh, and if insurance asks, this part was completely destroyed and left in the field.

That looks very nice, dwhite. I was wanting to do the same thing with an old brake rotor I have lying around the shop. Where do you get a clock motor and hands, or do you just take apart an old clock and then make your own numbers?
I got the motor at walmart a while back to replace another one that was on the fritz. I think it came with the hands too. Really cheap, like $5 or $6. I made the indicators out of thin neon yellow plastic that I used a hole punch on to get them perfectly round.
really nice...i was thinking of making a light for my room out of my ol busted up headlight. the headlight glass is fine, its the brackets on the back that attach to the fairing that are broken, it would look sick in the corner of a room, f4i eyes lighted up and all
