I couldn't ride this weekend, 'cause of work. But I went out and laid down ,hugging my Hurricane. Figured I'd stand a chance of it going with me...ah well....a little sore when I woke up, but worth it if it worked.
I got the impression one of the responses was kinda serious. Well If my religious memory serves, the Word does state that no man knoweth the day or the hour. That kinda limits any pre knowledge folks. If a man says it's the end of the world, we can reply with the supreme authority that he is full of $#!^. (Can I say that here?)
I too am accepting donations of bikes,Hurricanes especially

How the first day of hell on earth going you ask?

Eh, this is Louisiana, I really don't notice a change. Little less humid actually. (like 95%)

Guess I have to go swap those front wheel bearings on the F2 after-all. In heaven I'd have been given a RC51.

If you're going to live by the book, you probably ought to read the book, and take into consideration the whole thing, not just what gets quoted by talking heads or put in headlines or quoted by "leaders". Authority is inherently suspect. Leaders like leading too much and will do anything to maintain their position. I bet he has a good story to cover his hiney and boost his credibility all set to go for Monday. That ought to be a hoot.

not necessary a big red planet but something for sure. might not even be big enough to be noticed but something might be happining at that date.

on the other hand, it might be as simple as the Mayan calendar ended its cycle and a new one will start.
just like we have a calendar that ends every year and a new one starts.
we shall see, but i believe something will happen that might change the life as we know it, but i dont believe it will be the end of the world.

Mayans? Really? Did they have the eyes in the sky that we do? Could they see 14 billion years into the past through their orbiting optics? Did they even have a sextant? What could they have possibly have known about anything? Did they map the human genome? How did their neurosurgery turn out? The Hubble? Give me a break. Sitting around a camp fire sacrificing goats isn't really the sign of superior intellect or master of the universe level knowledge. We don't know everything we want to, but they didn't know squat. Well maybe they did know squat, but they didn't have toilet paper so they couldn't do anything about it.
