Default Ebay names???

Has anybody else wondered if some of these names on Ebay are phony?

Seems like every single item I either bid on or want to bid on has very similar names. such as t***h, h***o, t***e, n***e, ect. ect.

And I am always getting out bid by them. You think these are legit people, or the seller running a scam or something up the anty a little?

Haha, I know what you mean. Sometimes I am like, WTF is going on. And usually I will put in a last bid in spite hoping the other person has to pay more, and then Ill win it and its more than I wanted to pay[>:]

You guys are just joshin' right? The actual names of bidders are scrambled by ebay to protect the innocent, as it were...it used to be they wouldn't do it until the current bid reached $200, but it's lower now.

After the auction ends, you're allowed to see the real name of the winner...

It is a recent change to keep people from contacting other bidders as well. It is basically a safety feature, one of many ebay has done.

Haha...that is what I thought, too. My handle is voodoo_chyl. Now go buy my digital recorder for my "buy it now" price!

P.S. sorry...the other things I had for sale are sold.

Dayum!! Looks nice, if I were in the market I might be tempted.

Looks like you're over halfway there though with still 16hrs to go. You might get lucky!

Not if you don't get to bed soon though....[sm=laughat.gif]
