Default Easter Egg run...

It's the annual Easter egg run here today...literally thousands of bikers start gathering in various locations and then by 10am they all set off and head for the hospitals ...there are huge convoys delivering Easter eggs for the children... it's quite a site to behold...roads are closed off...police bikes everywhere giving the bikers priority.. countless trains of bikes riding in convoy from every direction... it's awesome! :-)

Cars just stop and people stare and cheer...it's totally wonderful!

This is from a few years back but gives an idea how big this thing is...I remember them doing this when I was a little girl standing at the road side with my dad and waving at them all... they all wave and toot their horns and many are dressed up as bunnies and things...

It's so awesome it makes non bikers want to go and buy a bike and be part of it...

Today the biker is King for one day...

Do you have similar over the pond?

Jules

Yeay...I'm not alone in the UK :-) I didn't this year...in work but kept stepping out to wave and watch...lovely! :-)

It was nice up here yesterday, nice and bright for the run :-)

Sorry you had to work [:@]on a Sunday too.

There are a few people from the UK on the forum, especially on the CBR1000F one as it is about the only active site for our big old buses! Have tried a few other forums but love this one due to the real mix of people etc... I find the UK sites a tad too serious for my time away from work.

All the best
