Default Dyno Results

Well, if these numbers are correct, and the test was performed by a Tech at Honda on a DynoJet Dynomometer, I have 157.8 Ponies drinking the fuel. 80.1 ft-lbs of Torque, and the A/F mix is straight across at 13.1 +/- very little, slight Hiccup to the down-side around 8000rpm.
Now that is what I had guessed I had, 157, but that was assuming I had 153 +/- to start with. He said no, stock puts out about 144. So I'll be Googling in a few. But if those numbers are correct, that's frigging 13 ponies more! Ca-mon, can it be? I don't know, I want to believe those #'s! But he was impressed along with other Techs that came over when he told them 157. Said that was the most power he has gotten out of a 1000 to date and was even more surprised he didn't have to tune it at all and said "Don't touch anything!". At first I thought he didn't want me to touch the bike cause it was hot, or dont touch the air sensor in the exhaust, I didn't know. But then he clarified and said it was running tops, don't mess with it! But he was also telling me guys come in with Power-commanders all the time and spend over 100 to tune them. He did 7 blast during the single run, no tuning, 30 bucks. I don't think he was knocking PC's, they are just very common.
But, if these numbers are correct, a Two Brothers slip-on, TB Juicebox, Brisk spark plugs, Red-Line oil, and K&N's will give ya 13 extra on an 07' 1K.
I'll take em!

I dunno, for what it's worth my bone stock 1000RR 08 dynoed in at 157.8

I would honestly think your model pushes out 155~ on a good dyno it all depends on it tho some always go high ect.

for what its' worth an 02 busa dynoed in at 156.7 on the same one mine did :P but the 08 was 180something I can't remember.

I dont know, try finding an accurate number on the internet...good luck, they are all over the place! 147, 158, 149, 152...forget it.

All I know is that it sure felt faster and stronger with those numbers in my head!

I mean she definitely is stronger, just how much?...guess we'll never really know. But according to them at Honda, she's right up there with the best if not the best on their list of bikes tested on their Dyno.
So guess I'll keep some wind in my sail.
But the bottom line is, it's still NO World SB, so I wont hold my chin up too high!

It would have been nice to have had a before test and an after test on the same dyno...... but.... if you like how it feels and it looks and sounds good too....... you're hooked up!!
I bought mine bone stock with 1,700 miles on it. The dealer had it on their dyno at 155.4 and its an 07 model. I dont know how accurate these things are from one to another and truthfully for me, it doesn't really matter. I doubt if I change out the exhaust. I more likely will go to a newer model before I feel its old enough for me to go cutting around on it... lol All I know is a 1K has plenty enough horse power for me, just the way it came. I love to see the mods on a bike though...... just not too extreme on mine.... lol

That's exactly what I should have done Rod looking back now. Wish I would have thought about that before I added things. But like you said, whatever power they have is more than enough.
My biggest concern before testing it was how my A/F Ratio was. I thought it might be running too rich cause I have the Juicer pumped right up, but it looks right on the money. Hopefully THAT is a correct reading!

Dynos can be altered by anything temperature humidity hell.. even the brand and wear on your tire can effect the outcome of a dyno so like was said unless you do a before and after, its only speculation

Dynos don't work, because your not getting your ram air! on R1's when you get them up to speed the ram air gives them 10 more poneys
