Default DUNLOP ON STRIKE

That is news to me. I went to my local bike shop to get some new Qualifiers and the sales person was telling me they have Dunlop on back order for over 3 weeks now. Since GOODYEAR owns them no one is budging. That sucks for US who want Qualifiers on their beast.

I guess I will have to go with Michelin. That would be my SECOND choice. OH well.

Just thought some of you out there would like to know that.

Did they give a reason on their stance?

There was no reasoning on a stance. All I know is that I am out of luck with these Qualifiers.

I thought these were the best tires too. I have tried every tire out there. These still in my personal opinion out performed.

I searched Google and found some stories about the strike, Twelve plants in the United States, including 14,000 United Steelworkers union members, are participating in the strike. Damn, that's a lot of opening for scabs.

I feel for them, both of my parents worked in some form of a factory when I was growing up so I knew to stay far, far, far away from any work like that. It's too easy for a company that has 10,000 employees to look at the numbers and think they can make up for lost income by telling a 1000 workers, "we don’t' need you to work for the next few months" or for a strike to break out.

I wish them luck and really hate to see strikes happen during the Christmas/suicide season. Not being mean, Christmas is the season for suicides... too many reasons for people to get depressed.

Oh I hear you on that. There has to be more to the story though. You know there is always two sides to it.

Thanks for that info.
