i used to drive a 79 Datsun 510 Stationwagon.....the muffler would come undone from the pipe and i had it rigged to stay up with zip ties, this making the exhaust very loud without a muffler. the car would also idle out at a light so i would have to rev the engine to keep it running. so i would be sitting at a light, jsut trying to keep my car running, when anyone in any kind of sports car would try to race me. integras, civics, eclipses. it was great. i actually burned some of them. we used to put it into the manual sport shift and call it *RACE CAR MODE*. god i love that car.

I had a a kid rev at me in a rusty cavilier once. it was early 90's red with 2 black race stripes up and over it tint and a bumble bee can on it. i know he thought it was fast and he kept reving. i got way down on my tank and started reving back at him. the light went green and he chirpped the tires and attempted to speed off. i just stayed crouchedand barely got moving off the line and just stayed about 3 cars lengths behind him. at the next light he goes " I thought those we supposed to be fast" i just shrugged my shoulders and pretended to be dissappointed he was all smiles since he won. As soon as the light went green he took off again, and i just brought it up to 12 o'clock and flew past. I love people who think that they can beat anyone or anything.

 

HAHA yeah living in vegas you see alot of that... I have an 88 Iroc Z Z-28 and driving that, everyone wants some. Vegas is huge on the baller cars though so like Vermino i'v been up against ferraris lotus's lambos...

id have to say the best but sad one was in my Celica GT-S from lake mead and i-15 S this lil civic was on me and there was a lot of traffic so i couldnt shake him so were in and out of traffic at like 110 - 120 and i hop on 95 N and make it to the left lane on a friday night around 9:30 with this hottie in my car and shes loving it until right after the summerlin pkwy split we hit the curve under rainbow at about 120...

(now the diffrences are i know my car can handle that with sway bars 1 inch drop yokohamas on 17" wheels so i know my limits now this guy was in a civic with some obvious engine work done but the outside of this lil crap box was all stock not even lowered a lil so i knew he had nothing on control and stability... )

So i speed up to get past an 18wheeler that looked like he was trying to get off at Rainbow, And i hit the turn ill admit it was scary but i swept right through, When the chick says OMG the guy slammed into the wall... So i look in my rear view and sure enough he hit the wall and was spinning in circles... At the time i really didnt give a f@ck cause the guy started messing with me he would try to pass me and slowly drift into my lane almost hitting me twice... So i kept going.

Extremely long story short, I didnt and still really dont care what may have happened to that guy. But the thing that sucks is it scared that hot chick away. I think she thought i was a heartless a$$hole or something after that night. Now what i dont get is why cause she's the one that was like you said this car is fast so show me after the guy passed me pushing me out of my lane the first time... but whatever i know it was stupid and immature to continue with his nonsense but i guess i was trying to show off a lil.

Now on my bike i get this on a daily basis cause the street i turn off to get to my street is a strait half mile from the freeway with one light at the freeway entrace from there its open til the end where my street is... So you name it iv probably been smoked by it on that block by my house cause i refuse to disrespect my own neighborhood.

 

ikon - yeah some people will do anything to win.. i was just cruising the strip with my camaro (going away from the strip to the 215) and an import came up beside me (it was illegal's night, but only about 9-10pm) so he was acting all hard and revving up his little bumble bee - so i was like "why not.." so we just did a rolling start about 30mph and gunned it (not knowing there was a cop about 4 cars behind us)... well seeing how I kicked his *** so bad, the cop threw on his lights and went for the easier prey (i guess, dont know if he actually saw me or what) but he got the import pulled over.. i felt kind-of sorry because he didnt have a fast enough car to keep up with me, and then to get a ticket - wow

Vegas has alot of nice cars tho, mostly in seven hills tho - But i mean if you ever have a chance to be along aside a lambo, ferrai, GT40 - i mean why not take the chance? i could give a rat's *** if he is going to own me, i could own his *** if i had 120K car too.
(too bad my camaro now in Idaho, but i get alot more respect from people there.. alot of rednecks that are car fans haha)

 

on my way home from the gym this kid and his friend in a modified s2000 pulled up next to me at a light obviously wanting to race. he launches and just for fun i stay even with him till about 80mph... look over and they're stoked because they think they're actually keepin' up. then i decide to open it up a little... GOOD-BYE! he caught up to me at the next light and flicked me off. sore loser. when i get beat by someone i at least give them the thumbs up... geez!

 

I haven’t raced my bike.

My ’65 Mustang, I’ve raced a few other Fox and SN95 bodied Mustangs and Cobras with no problems. Dumbest was a stop light to stop light with a WRX in Phoenix. I’m waiting at the light, he pulls up and revs on me, so I beat him that light. Next light, he does it again, I waxed him a second time.

Most memorable was two Marines in a 80s something IROC Z, a Chevy pickup with green flake paint and 20”+ rims and his buddy with a full size Chevy SUV, big rims and red flake paint (they looked like show trucks). We were driving from Phoenix to CA on I-8. I was driving a modded ’91 Mustang GT vert. We all were taking turns passing each other, then the trucks and the Z seemed to fall behind quite a ways for a little while. I looked in my rear view mirror and I see all three of them coming up fast. I get a wild hair not to let them pass me, so when they got on my ***, I dropped it to fourth, slammed on the gas, then to fifth and ran the tach up to four grand. After I left them in the dust, I slowed down to just over the limit and the Marines finally caught up. Our windows were down and they yelled over “Dude, you were f**king flying, how fast were you going?”, I just replied “my speedometer is broke, but I was doing about four grand”. Later I figured I was doing 145mph, based on my rpm, tire size and gearing.

 

One night back before I got the CBR I was cruising around in the city on my Ninja 250... I pull up to a light and there's a early 90s Toyota pickup on one side and a vespa with passenger on the other. They start revving on me, saying let's race etc... I'll just say I smoked both those bitches. I've never had a better race since.
