....EVER!!





So here's my question, why are there "hairs" on new tires? part of the manufacturing process, or just fun to play with and pick at while doing installation?

 

My only guess is that it is simply to show that it's never been mounted... ?

Their the roots left over from the rubber tree.

 

Or it could be its how they pump the rubber in to the moulds

 

Something like that.

 

You can milk them!

 

It's when the tread is being vulcanized to the core and the mold has mini (the little spikes) holes to remove the air to ensure no air pockets are sealed in the tire. when the mold is relaesed it leaves behind the hairs.

 

because they're cool, thats why

 

You take perforated leather with all the holes and you stick them two together so it's like sex. Fun.

 

The hairs help you to find the hole....
