I got the general idea of it... wow that is long. That takes some time and hate fueled hunger.

ORIGINAL: Pyle

As a rider of both a Harley and a CBR I can honestly say, I love them both. They are both unique in their own ways. That guys rant ... well I made it to about the second paragraph and got sick of reading the mindless crap he was spewing. Harley's are great and so are the sport bikes. Who the hell cares as long as you are on 2 wheels, and enjoying yourself.
very well put. 2 wheels is 2 wheels.

i have no problem with harleys. they do make some nice looking, comfortable bikes and no one can come close to their history. it's something about a harley and the freedom and the thought of rebellion that makes it so american. i do, however, have a problem with a large majority of harley riders. actually, i have a problem with any rider that thinks that their bike is the best and covers themselves like a billboard for the company. anyone who refuses to wave at other bikers or even aknowledge the existence of quality bikes made by other manufacturers. anyone who rides after drinking and installs loud pipes because someone else thinks it's the way it's supposed to be. the problem is that most of these ******* bikers are riding harleys.

just a point to think about: everyone hates stereotyping. all of us cbr riders hate negative publicity because some squid hit an old lady while rolling a 70 mph standup down a city street. alot of people stereotype us sportbike riders on the stupidity of a few dumbasses. harley riders feel the same. we make fun of the "typical" harley rider and group them all together. the only way that motorcycling will ever totally be accepted by the general public is if all riders (reguardless of brand and style) band together to show everyone that we are upstanding citizens and obey the law. so everyone needs to remember this before adding to the neverending game of "who's best."

Wow. If I was to guess, I'd say this guy really doesn't like Harley's.

Damn that is rather entertaining... what I read of it. Once I saw how long winded that guy was, I skipped every other paragraph!

I agree with NINE2NINE's statement about stereotypes, there are plenty to go around on both sides. But I have never seen a group a 10 or 20 sport bikes sitting outside of bar, after bar, after bar, after bar on a regular basis.

So here's the stereotypical problem I have with most HD riders: On a nice day there's about 10 bikes at every bar I pass as I'm riding around town. OK, maybe they were inside drinking milk and eating cookies, but we all know that's highly unlikely! As a matter of fact, just the other day I was having lunch at a bar and there was a guy and his girl sitting at a table pouring pitcher after pitcher of beer into their guts... just prior to jumping on the HD they rode to the restaurant.

Stay safe guys (and gals)... let's show 'em what owning and riding a motorcycle is all about.

Heh, I have learned one thing from these forums and another one I am on. Sport bike riders are like little sissy girls, they just bitch bitch bitch. I have never seen Harley riders bitch so damn much and I have grown up aroudn them, my dad owns a harley and all the ones I know all say what Pyle said, 2 wheels is 2 wheels at least they are riding.

Now quit bitching about "he didn't wave back" I know a lot of people (on both types of bikes) that have the mentality "I am out riding leave me alone." No big deal, no disrespect just keeping to themselves, get over it.

As far as performance, the highest speed limit around these parts i 70, my dads 87 softail custom will do that just fine, and so will every other harley on the road, the reason most older people ride harleys is because they are more comfortable and they do not see the need to do 100+ or want to have the power to do it if they so choose. So lighten up a little and just enjoy being on 2 wheels for being on 2 wheels. And next time someone doesn't wave, just think, maybe they had a bad day, hell laugh to yourself because you think that harley vibrating under them is causing them to have a bad day because they really have to pee or something.

I'm done.

Of course you don't see HD guys complaining about sport bike guys... either they don't have the vocabulary to do so or they don't know how to use a computer!

Hey I've got family members that have HD's too and they aren't ****** when they're on the road. This thread wasn't meant to include all HD riders under the a$$hole umbrella... just the select few who actually belong. There's certainly a few of us here who could be categorized that way from time to time... well not me but I'm sure that someone here has done something to **** someone off!

BTW: The rain has (temporarily) stopped in mid-Michigan. Maybe I'll get to see what my bike looks like today!
