The 08CBR1kRR does live up to the hype...Fast, light, tons of power and flickable. Simply awsome. Congrats on the new bike!

I have an F4i and have ridden a 600RR and an Aprillia Mille. The RR was so light and flickable I was blown away. The Aprilia was a handful of *** kickery. Neither were as comfy as my F4i. I just love that bike. I guess I would have to say it does what i expect it to, though, but I am not out to win a race so I am happy as can be. Congrats on your firebreather X!

I was hestitant buying the '07 RR but thats because I did little to no research [>:]. Once on it, I asked myself why didn't I do it earlier?

X, how's the throttle on the 1k? Smooth or similiar to the 600?

Nothing like the 600, it's very smooth. The slipper clutch is glorious too, downshifting is controlled and safer.

It all comes to what do you think... for me my bike is great, but for someone else is crap.

Or the best ride "ever". LOL.

I hope mine lives up to the hype...for me it does because I would spend hours looking for bikes over the course of the summer, never owned one but had taken the msf course so the only bikes I've ever ridden before my F4 is my friend's V-star 650(hated the cruiser position) and the little yamaha 250 they had for the course. To me it's lived up to my expectations. I wanted a bike so long and when I got it then got it running I had no regrets, definitely enjoy it thoroughly, the only downside is it's getting cold and I'll have to put it away.

I'd really like to ride an 03-04 600rr, I love the way those bikes look(not a big fan of the lesser fairing newer bikes) and I think it would be a step up from my F4.

Congrats on the new 1krr, looks great. Any mods planned. A color-matched side fairing(instead of silver) would look good.

^ you know, i thought the same about my '08 (silver odd fairing) but it really grows on you and now i wouldnt want to change it. i think X's bike looks great, if he changed it to match the red'ish color it would be TOO much of the red.

I won't buy a toy unless I know it'll beat the hype. When I picked up the 954, I knew it was literbike power in a 600 package (370lbs dry?!...hell to the yeah!). Besides the occasional headshake when I'm cranked over and hit a bump, it absolutely kills. The Ducati Monster was fun when it was a 600, showed more than a few "big" bikes my taillights through the twisties...now that I've swapped in the 900ss engine...well, I've had to get a bigger helmet just so I could fit my smile inside. It truly puts the "HOOOO!" in Hooligan...
