Default Does it live up to the hype?

Your bike that is. I just got back from the first real ride on my new 1KRR and it EXCEEDS all of my expectations and all of the hype that I read and heard about it. It feels lighter and more nimble than the '06 600RR I had before.

I'm curious how other people feel about their bikes after having them for awhile. My 600 did what I expected it to do, but never exceeded that. I knew it would be a good bike of course but some of the things I had read put it on a pedestal that it probably didn't really deserve.

my '08 600RR is amazing. its lighter, its got much more midrange power. but for being 'flickable' i am still loving my F4i more. its possibly the tires, as i have PP's on the F4i and the Dunslops on the RR. im waiting to see if the RR feels even BETTER than the F4i once i get some PP's on it. but the RR does feel much better than the F4i in quite a few ways.

Didnt get mine new, so it really didnt have any hype. I test rode several bikes and the 54 was the best package by far, and imo still is the best bike available. So i guess if there would have been hype, it would have passed it.

Insurance was like getting raped, the 1KRR was a better buy and a fantastic ride.

jaynd..when i had dunlops and switched over to pirellis, i felt that the bike was MUCH more flickable...like im riding and it feels like any movement will flick the bike to its side...screw those crappy dunlops, get new rubber over the winter. I guarantee its those tires not the bike.

yea Redz....i noticed the HUGE difference it made on my F4i so i know its not the RR. im anxious to see if w/ the PP's it'll be even more flickable than the F4i! and yeah, new tires will be on it w/in a couple months. the dunslops are wearing down.

The OEM Dunlops on the 600 were absolute garbage. The Bridgestones on the new bike are great so far, *shrugs*... maybe they got it right this time?
