I know that. Pretty much everything here has to have insurance. I'm not worried cuase I just cancelled it an hour ago. I'm sure they can check that.

The only way they know is if you get pulled over and they see that its not active. I dont ride this bike so I'm not worried about getting pulled over.

Not totally, but if you dont owe anything on your bike, its a lot less likely you will get caught, because most of the time, its the banks that check,

The state does not have the time to go thru thier entire list of drivers licenses to check up on peoples insurance. [sm=bs.gif]That is why when you get pulled over the first thing the officer asks for is drivers license, registration, and proof of insurance. I would also expext them to check for proof of insurance when registering it, but when you sell it and transfer the title the buyer is responsible for insureing it.

That is true D2D about the bank checking if there is still a lein on the bike they will check often, I assumed we were talking about a clear title.

Oh, ok.I have only worked for the state, and so does my family. Yea dude, it happens. No, not everyone gets checked, its at random and it happens. Thats why I said most of the time it is the banks. But the stte does check dude, but you dont have to believe me. You can wave that flag at 100mph

EDIT: Also, do you realize how much the state makes doingthis as well?

Nothing is owed on this bike. I payed cash and have owned it for almost a year. I do know (since I've bought two bikes) that the person that buys the bike must insure it before they can register it.

my editing can't keep up with your posts. don't get your panties in a bunch, i'm sorry you work for the state, not trying to argure, but here in colorado the DMV is processing over 1500 new registrations each week, they seem pretty busy. Good lookin out for ranger scott, if he is really that worred get it insured again, or sell it? just my .02
