ok im not getting involved in this dispute nauree
I think i might just get a bigger HDD...they are only like $10 more for another 180 or so gigs...so i might upgrade to a 500gig cuda.

what do you think of the hard drive on my first post...besides the size. Are the cudas good drives? I upgraded to a hitachi in my laptop and havent had any problems. but ive heard better things about the seagate drives regarding quality as well as speed/performance

I will not buy anything but a Seagate, and typically cudas. My old system had (2) 160GBs and never had a problem with them. The last WD I bought was bad, but that could have been fluke. Although, I am running a WD as of now, with no issues yet, but it has only been about 2 weeks now. I typically don't have issues when I stick with the brands I have trusted, and when I feel the need to linger away from that I always get struck by lightning. When I upgrade my drives I'll be getting (2) SGs.

The opposite happened to me when I bought Corsiar XMS memory. They were suppost to be great OCers with their micron ICUs but then they secertly switched there ICUs to promos. I did not find this out until late. If I OC my memory by only 100mhz my computer wont even boot. Thats the last time I buy unnecessarly overpriced memory.

I picked up my XMS2 for $42 for 2GB. Had the other 1GB already. I like Crucial though.

I remember the days of super RAM prices. I'm glad DDR2 has come down since then.

Hey, I really like mine, quiet as hell and no issues thus far. I did a lot of reading on them previously and have read lots and lots of good stuff about them. Is the X-finite modular?
