Friend and I went out for a quick ride around the island. We were riding side by side, when I saw a bird fly across in front of us. I thought my friend was going to hit it, but it missed his bike and flew into me. Took the bird to my left foot at about 65 miles per hour. Knocked my foot of the peg, and hurt like a bastard. Pretty sure I got my revenge though, checked my mirrors, saw feathers in the air, and a carcass sliding down the road. When we stopped a few miles down the road, I had bird guts on my boot, with a nice racing stripe of blood and guts down my swingarm. Could've been worse I suppose, I could have taken the hit in the helmet or my body.. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

 

Good thing you didn't take it to the face. We might be reading another type of post then.

 

Definitely. I always wear a helmet, and keep the shield down, but it still would've hurt. Or maybe even knocked me off my bike.

that was one of my dropkick minions(see jules post about going down on a bike), he skipped the targeting class...slacker...lol j/k glad to hear your ok man

 

No doubt Kamikaze, i took a mid size bird in the chest a few years back. Almost felt like getting hit with a baseball bat, and damn near took me off the bike. Glad yer ok, they can mess ya up in the wrong place.

I keep thinking I'm gonna reach up and grab a bird.....seems like they fly towards me trying to cross the highway, see me and try to turn away....which usually has them flying right next to me for a second or two.........one of these days, I'll get one!!! LOL

 

Glad it was only your foot, that could have been a LOT worse. Glad you're OK.
