Counterfeit money?
Yup ^ you should look for the red and blue fibers embedded within the bill. And I'd think that counterfeiting the security strip would be pretty hard to do o.O I'm not sure though. Also, you should check the resolution of the signatures and everything else; they should be perfect if they're real. In the portrait I believe there are these little swirls in the background, those lines should be super crisp, if they seem pixelated, then you should suspect that it's fake.
Edit: Oh ya, you could also try soaking it in water. Nothing really happens to real bills if they get drenched, you just let them dry out and they come back to normal. For counterfeits, they get disintegrate haha. Unless of course they spent all that time and money making it THAT legit. But why would you spend that much time for a 5? So I suggest trying to soak it in water and see what happens.

I used to work at US Bank Arena here in cincinnati when I was younger.I saw a fake 20 someone tried to pass off and it was horrible. It wasnt even cut square and it felt like it was just regular computer paper lol
i never thought of fake ones for boobie bars. maby cuz im not a perv like u guyz. when i look at bills to see if they are fake i look in this order
paper
lifted in on face.(feel it)
the security stip.
colored ink that changes color. they offten just print on of the colors.
last the paper again. (roll it up in a ball, rub it together and so on. if its real it should make it)
i still think making ones is dumb. the time it takes u to pass 100 $1 bills by u can just pass one $100 bill. and think of time and effort it takes to make all those ones. not worth it. if u ganna make fakes the safeist bet is makeing 20's they dont really check them that offten unless u can realllllllly tell its fake. 50's and 100's get checked eveytime.
anyways just send it too me ill check it for ya. only charge u 10 bucks too.

After further inspection of some other bills in my wallet I think I was just being paranoid, either way the fives are gone, went out drinking Tuesday haha.
they passed all the tests in that .gov site someone posted except the paper feel. , It was pretty much all the stuff I already checked, nothing really profound. It had the little red hairs, but they looked fake, although I checked 2 ones in my wallet just now and the little red hairs on them looked kinda fake too, so who knows. (maybe Gainesville is a mecca for counterfeiters) I think any kid with a good printer and some nice stationary paper could make a decent counterfeit these days, that is why the keep doing new things to the bills, especially 20s.
as far as the what bill to counterfeit argument, $1 is by far the least risk, and will almost never get spotted unless it is REALLY bad, $20s are a little more risky, but i think they would be around the same risk as $5 or $10s because $20 bills are so common, clerks are not going to check every bill.
$100 and $50, if your that good you should be a millionaire, people are always weirded out by them even when they are real. So they are ALWAYS going to get checked.
