Allow me to clarify.

I DO NOT go around bashing gays, outright or not. Don't namecall or anything else.

Here is my dilemma. A good friend of a group of friends we have has two boys(grown men) that are gay. One is respectful and quiet about it, the other waves his little rainbow flag everywhere. Talking about how gays should be able to get married, have rights, adopt children....He goes into detail about his sexual experiance. Things that I don't want to know about married couples, much less two men...

I made a comment to some friends, with him and his mother present, expressing my opinion that marriage rights should not be extended to gays, among other "closeminded" (according to them) point of view that I have. So then the whole group jumps all over me telling me how backward I am etc. for not embraceing gays and accepting them for who they are.

I mean honestly, am I the only one with ***** enough to express how I truly feel about this w/o concern for being politically correct or that I might offend them for pointing out my opinion ?

Is it so wrong to actually vocalize what many people REALLY think? At least I am not being two faced.

I mean honestly, is it right to raise a child in a household where unnatural relationship is being taught as right?

If everyone was gay, we can't exist. Its unnatural. Its just wrong. No matter how much positive attention it gets you cannot convince me that its ok. Don't ask, don't tell.

As far as the waste of space comment. Bro, you and your POV are allowed here as much as mine. One of the few freedoms still allowed us. To point me out and attack me makes you so much better than me right?

You seem to have allot of angst towards others. Personally, I don't get fired up or angry over much. It's not worth it to carry that uselessness inside. I mean, I get angry like anyone else, but nothing that ruins my day, or the next 5 min for that matter. Your text would portray that you have a genuine hatred of people that don't see eye to eye on your views. Why? Nothing illegal or harmful going on.

I think it is opinions like this that ruin the furture of the world. Rather than focusing on solving problems, people create new ones. It's sad when laws have to be passed (Constitutional ammendments no less) that enable any and everyone to have the same rights.

 

I dunno whether this is a problem for people all around the US or not. Here in the south, there are a lot of people that for relegious, geographical, historical, and plain being ignorant have a different POV than a lot of other people apparently. Maybe I am just making this up, but speaking for myself anyway....I am one backwards redneck son of a tractor and getting worse all the time. The longer I live the more set in my ways I become. Well, I just can't seem to accept the lie that is Political Correct.

I know. I am supposed to be "modern". I am supposed to be accepting, and not want to offend anyone. Not anyone of a different creed or color. Not anyone with different sexual orientation. No one is a different class of society...cause we all know there are no classes in America?!

But within many of us, and even realizing we are bigots and hypocrites...we still slip up and are "honest" with ourselves from time to time about our illogical stereotypes, our inbred opinions....So then, when you have decided to be honest with yourself and accept that you have an irrational bias about something, then you have to deal with jerk offs looking down the bridge of their nose at you, for being uncultured.
