Well.... i'm 90% sure that this actually worked.

I'm going to throw this damn laptop out the window.

I've fixed the majority of my problems - however Google Chrome will not connect to the internet. And other than CBRF (thank god) IE will not let me sign into anything - such as photobucket / Facebook / anything.

Did you try selecting a restore point from a few weeks ago or prior to whenever the problems started?

On the Internet problem did you try starting in "Safe mode with network access" option?

uninstall/reinstall Google Chrome, it may have gotten corrupted. IE, check for updates and clear all cookies and cache.

I couldn't restore the computer because of the chkdsk not woring. That's been fixed when I did the safemood reboot and ran ccleaner.

After that I seemed to have developed the Chrome / log in problem.

What would I do after I do safemode with network access? which I assume is the Network as apposed to Minimal option.

already reinstalled chrome. Still no luck. Downloaded firefox, that wouldn't connect either.

CLeared cookies and cache in IE. no difference.

EDIT
I should probably add that whenver I try to log into something it says Interent Explorer cannot connect.

I checked my firewal and the Lan connection stuff. that seems to be in order.
