Default Colorado or BUST!

So in the next month i will be heading out on the annual Christmas road trip. Last year was to Wisconsin and Minnesota , ended up in a huge snow storm and almost missed christmas dinner with the folks!! Thanks to quattro drive we plowed for 16hrs in front of the snow plows. This year to Boulder Colorado!!

anyways the vehicle situation has changed- This year my buddies and i are splitting a road trip vehicle. It will be outfitted with all the proper necessities (couches, strippers, two amps ( one for the synth other for the guitar), custom paint....the list goes on...) The question is go with the all wheel drive (astro van) in case we get slammed by the weather? or go with Style? (VW HIPPIE BUS)

Or share your knowledge on what we should do. Price Limit - $1500 for the running vehicle. an engine swap is prob out of the question but we can fix cars.

Dude, you should get a full size 4x4 chevy van. I guess the gas mileage would suck, but I had one of these w/ the 5.7l and it hauled ***. It had full blinds, flexsteel captains chairs and fold down rear bed, card table, etc. Mine was only the 2wd but I always wanted the 4x4. lol...

Your trip sounds like a blast, tho, no matter what you take.
I don't think I'd trust the vdub, tho. Plus, I hate hippies.

You'll fit in better with the hippie bus.

Well, after much deliberation I decided to vote for the Astro Van as the next best thing to a full size chevy van.
As for custom paint..... there is only one choice.
Now go to wal-mart and get some spray bombs, Murdock.
