This is what I call a whining post...Sometimes you just need to get over things.
Not what I consider a whining post. I would consider this more along the lines of an opinion poll. From my post, one couldcome tothe conclusion that the people who I know that smoke are a bunch of rude jerks. They leave a mess, don't consider non smokers, etc. It is kind of like me posting, "Hey someone **** their pants at work and stood next to me all day, I thought it smelled bad, and I resented it...what do you think when someone ****s their pants and stands next to you all day?" Do I have to get over the fact that when I am at a bar, someone lets their smoke go right in my eyeball and doesn't care at all? It is probably my fault and I should say something, but when I smoked I would never let that happen. If I was burning someone's retinas, I would apologive a move my cigarette. I still chew. I think it is a nasty habit, so I am considerate enough not to do it infront of my wife because it grosses her out, I don't spit in beer bottles and leave them around,I don't throw my used chews into thekitchen trash because it stinks, etc. That is what I mean by considerate. I just had an opinion and was polling others on this topic. I don't want to move gays to an island somewhere. If I had an opinion on a movie or my favorite meal or what my favorite color was, would that be a whining post, as well?Hmmmmmm, I will be more careful what I post.

Dammit!!! Stop telling people of I did THAT ONE TIME! Burritos and fried chicken dont go well with each other.

I see it this other way. When I go to a bar, I'm not a PIMP. I dont go to hit on women and have them hanging over my playing a private game of pocket pool and wonder to myself if I smell good. Or finger banging Betty Lu in the corner, which ever you mind perfers. MOST people that are at a bar are drunk enough not to know or care if they smell like smoke. I'd rather smell like smoke than BO.

Dont have to worry about that in Ohio. Its illegal to smoke in any public place. I love the new law because there is nothing worse then going to a restaurant and having to deal with smoke in your face while you eat. They dont bother me however if I am around it I will simply leave or ask them to do it somewhere else

I'm very happy that bars and restaurant here are smoke-free, but I don't hate smokers. And I'm old enough to remember smoking cars on trains, and a smoking section in airplanes and movie theaters, so I appreciate the difference.

Nicotine is a very addictive drug, and some researchers say it can be as addictive as herion. Breaking a physical addiction is not easy to do, so I actually feel some sympathy for them.

I save my hatred for fat people. Smokers aren't allowed to carry a lit cigarette onto a subway car, but fatasses can just shove their way onto a crowded train, taking up three times more space than a normal-sized person.

I smoke and I feel it's my right since this is a free country and it's legal to buy smokes. I try not to smoke right by walk ways or around kids, but ifI want a smokeI will have one. Here in Ohio you can no longer smoke inside anywhere public so you would like it here in a bar. I really like to smoke when I drink so the no smoking in bar's pisses me off, but I don't go out to bars all that much so it's not that big of a deal to me.I don't smoke in my house so it's not like I'm a rude F**ker and blow smoke in peoples faces when they come over. Even when I'm in my car with someone I ask if they mind if I have a smoke and I do keep the window open the whole time.

One thing I have noticed is Ex-smokers hate smokeing way more then people that have never smoked. I guess it's becasue it's so hard to quit and they don't want to smell it or see it so they will not want one.I quit for 9 months a few years back and I never hated on smokers at all and when I would see someone smoking I wanted to suck the air out of there lungs just to get some smoke LOL! I went back to smoking and I know it's bad for me, but I guess as long as I know the risks it's all on me.

I quit smoking in November. 1 pack+/day for 12 years. Tried to quit a few times with zyban, patch, gum, etc... but this time it worked. I used Chantixand apart from the fact you can't take it on an empty stomach (throw your guts up) it worked great! Took it for a month, quit a week in and haven't had a craving since.

I have notice almost a hypersensitivity to smoke since quiting though. I think smoke bothers "used-to-be smokers" more than "never smoked."

Now I walk by a smoker and think "Holy crap, did I smell that bad?"

Thats my .02 but I still have smoker friends that I hang out/ ride with. I just stay away from them while they are smoking... not because of cravings (don't have any) but because it makes me nauseous.

I am also an ex-smoker but I only smoked when drinking or hanging out with friends(I guess I just wanted to be cool...hehehe).Well anyways I can't stand smokers in bars thats themain reason I stopped going because of all that smoke. You walk in and instantly smelllike crap and my eyes wouldget really red and watery fromall the smoke. I guess it doesn't bother me anymore because i don't go and bars are a waste of time and money anyways.

OK but the thing that gets me the most is at work. These ****** think that just because they have an addictive problem they can just go have a "Smoke Break" (5-10mins) whenever they want. What about me do I get a WOW break I mean come'on (hehe). And some of these people have 6-12 a day thats like30-60min break just for smoking everyday. BOOOOO..... Don't abuse your little orally fixated, nicotine problem. Ok sorry for that but I hatehaving to sit here working while looking out the window and seeing all these people smoking/taking a break. There is one thing that puts a smile on my face though, when I seeone of those people in a meeting andafter awhile they start shaking and getting all jittery...hehehe take another puff puff.....it willmake you feel better.... hahaha

Anyways not that I hate you smokers but I think you should be alot more considerate than some of you are. Plus I'm sorry to say it but smoking isn'tas popular now as it was in the 60s and 70s, you will have to get used to more of us non-smokers disliking your choice to smoke.
